Keep the Ship Enjoyable
Pebbleship is a shared multiplayer environment. Disagreement, rivalry, roleplay and ordinary adult language are allowed, but genuine harassment and abuse are not.
Allowed
- normal conversation and friendly banter;
- roleplay and faction rivalry;
- ordinary expressive profanity;
- criticism of game decisions or other players' strategies;
- competitive economic play within the intended game systems.
Not Allowed
- targeted harassment or sustained personal abuse;
- racist, homophobic, misogynistic or other discriminatory slurs;
- credible threats or encouragement of violence;
- sharing another person's private information without permission;
- sexual harassment or targeted sexually abusive language;
- impersonating another player or administrator;
- spam, flooding or deliberate disruption of chat;
- deliberately attempting to evade moderation filters;
- using exploits, automation or manipulated requests to cheat;
- content or activity that is unlawful.
Language Filtering
Pebbleship uses automated filtering for selected abusive and discriminatory terms.
Ordinary identity words are not automatically prohibited simply because they could potentially be used insultingly.
Automated moderation is imperfect. Context may therefore be reviewed when deciding whether action is appropriate.
Moderation Action
Depending on severity and history, moderation may include a warning, message removal, restriction, mute, suspension or account ban.
Serious illegal or threatening material may require stronger action.
Game Integrity
Finding a bug is not misconduct. Deliberately exploiting a bug for advantage, repeatedly duplicating rewards or resources, attacking the service or helping others cheat may result in account action.
